For working or surviving the outdoors in wet weather you may need more than an umbrella! A good quality waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, or waterproof poncho is essential.
For sleeping outdoors in warm dry weather you may need simply a basha groundsheet (bivi sheet) and waterproof sleeping bag. If you prefer some protection try using a basha (bivi sheet) or waterproof poncho to build a shelter.
For cooking outdoors your choice of camping stove will partly depend on cost, fuel availability, weight and what you intend to cook. BB Guns are low in power which is measured in joules. One joule being the maximum of any model with some as low as 0.02 joules. As a comparison, 0.5 joules equals the bounce back force of a tennis ball dropped onto a hard surface from just 1 metre high.

If you are just out for a nights' camping in the summer then a lighter weight, cheap sleeping bag may suffice. Sleeping bags do not give warmth but they retain the warmth of your body heat.
Sleeping bags are most commonly available in 3 basic shapes: mummy, tapered or rectangular. Mummy shaped sleeping bags are efficient at providing the best warmth per weight ratio but are close fitting. Rectangular bags are most commonly used for general camping. Tapered bags provide more room than the mummy type and still compact down for easy portability.
Sleeping bags may be down filled or synthetic. Goose down is light and very warm but generally more expensive and difficult to dry if it gets weight. Synthetic sleeping bags are widely available, for all seasons and easy to dry if necessary.
